
An image that appears to be from a CCTV camera has recently been widely shared on social media. It has been viewed more than two million times on X platform.
Social Media Post
On March 23rd, a user on Twitter posted a CCTV camera image of an elephant climbing a tree. The post garnered over 2.9 million views and was shared more than 57,000 times.



However, after fact-checking, we determined that the image is not authentic.
Fact-Check
A reverse image search was employed to determine the origin of the image. The investigation revealed that the image wasn’t derived from a real event. Instead, it was generated by artificial intelligence, specifically using a program named Dall-E 3, capable of producing highly realistic images. The image was initially posted on Facebook, in a group known as AI CREATIVES THAILAND, dedicated to sharing and discussing AI-generated content.

The aforementioned creator has produced numerous images mimicking those from CCTV cameras and shared them in the group. Each post has garnered significant attention and has been extensively shared.



Conclusion
The image circulating on social media featuring an elephant climbing a tree is not authentic. Our investigation found that it does not originate from a real event or security camera recording. Rather, it has been generated with the use of advanced AI technology.
