Recently, we encountered a video accompanied by a statement claiming that a group of Israeli children have been taken hostage by Hamas and are currently being held captive in cages.

An Instagram user has posted a video showing a group of young children locked up in cages, accompanied by a caption describing the image:

We also discovered that the mentioned video is being circulated on X (formerly Twitter). The video has been viewed over a hundred thousand times and has been widely shared on the platform.

We conducted a source check on the video using the Reverse Image Search feature. We found an article from Snopes that verifies the authenticity of this video.

From the article above, we found a tweet from the Hebrew fact-checking website “FakeReporter.net that explained that the video in question was published before the latest attack in Israel on October 7th.

Although the mentioned video is no longer available on TikTok, Mazloum Fiba ladi, the owner of the TikTok account residing in Gaza Strip, clarified on October 11th that the children in the video are his relatives and not children from Israel.
